Every Nigerian company that runs on foreign software pays two prices. The visible one leaves in dollars every month and grows whenever the naira slips. We paid both prices ourselves for years while building software for other people. The tools we rented were excellent and foreign, and the gap between what they assumed and what our companies needed never closed. At some point the conclusion stopped being avoidable: the platform we wanted would have to be built here, by people for whom none of this is an edge case.

The claim we make carefully
We looked hard before saying this, because saying it carelessly would be cheap: as far as our research can establish, Dbrij is the first Nigerian built platform to put team chat, video meetings, email, HR, tax compliant payroll, customer support, marketing, analytics and cloud hosting in one product on one subscription. Others bundle pieces, and some bundle them well. Nobody Nigerian owned has put this whole stack in one place.
We wrote that sentence to be checked. If someone shipped it before us, show us and we will edit the sentence and shake their hand. Until then, we will keep building like the lead is ours to lose.
